Building Communities Trust are holding a virtual event on 25 September 2023 to launch two new indices – the Wales Community Assets Index and the Wales Community Resilience Index.
The indices give areas in Wales a score based on a new methodology that will be outlined at the launch. The aim is to create a better picture of the health of communities in Wales, to better understand their needs in order to solve established and long-term challenges.
As well as presenting the new data, representatives from the Trust will explain the findings of the research and their policy recommendations for responding to that which was discovered. They claim that the indices give a better picture of community resilience across Wales and lists community assets that have not been previously listed.
