The Rural Assets Project run by Glasgow Caledonian University have announced that they will be hosting an online event on 26 February 2024 in collaboration with BCT Wales, The Green Valleys and the IWA on community ownership and community asset transfer in Wales. The event aims to look at the unique circumstances of community ownership in Wales, while also looking at other nations of the UK to learn vital lessons in how to develop the sector.

The event will include hearing from a Scottish Government official on Community Asset Transfer, new research from the Plunkett Foundation, Building Communities Trust and the Rural Assets Project, and stories from individuals involved in community asset projects in Wales.

Interest in community ownership in Wales is growing, and the event promises to be an opportunity for those involved in the field or interested in learning more to share insights and experiences.

The event runs between 10am and 3pm and simultaneous translation will be available. For more information, and to book your place, visit the event page.
