Innovative Farmers group to hold research workshop

October 2023 | Featured, Rural policy

Innovative Farmers have announced that they are holding a digital workshop on 19 October 2023 to research how to develop innovative practices in agriculture. The intention of the workshop is to bring together farmers, growers, and crofters to discuss the future of agriculture and how to respond to the many challenges that are threatening the industry in the years to come.

Recent times have seen sweeping changes to policy and trade along with the increasing visibility of the climate and nature emergencies. In this context, Innovative Farmers see it as essential to conduct research in order to better understand what those working in the industry feel and think as well as documenting any solutions they have to offer. This session will be a means for those interested to express their priorities for further research within the UK, as well as any needs they see as being essential to resolve.

The aim is to share the findings of this research with policy maker and research providers and funders and develop an understanding of those areas that need further investment and attention.
